Finally: a rare opportunity to see some of my costumes! The film ‘Messiah’, has its first public screening at the Made In Sussex Film Festival! Some of you may know that my other passion is costume design and production photography for film & TV. In 2023, I was hired to design costumes for a concept short, that accurately reflected a specific historical period while aligning with the director’s vision. The story was set in 1742 in Dublin, had two protagonists, one supporting actor and over 20 background artists.
Our fabulous director Marinella Setti Mantle envisioned a deep red velvet frock coat for one of our main characters, the other main was a homeless beggar (see picture). As oftern with movie making, we had a set of challenges, including budget limitation. Nonetheless, with dedication and an amazing cast and crew, we accomplished a truely beautiful film.
